Hurraseason - Gumbo
- Published in New Music Reviews
In a day where the music industry seems to have lost direction and integrity thank goodness for "true" artists. While "most" mainstream artists are riding the successful wave of material that are unlikely to stand the test of time, "true" artists are literally "running for covers," (pun intended) releasing album after album of new versions of classic rap, pop, and soul music.
Who is HurraSeason? A determined, innovative, truthful, and strongly motivated young brother. As a teenager, he grew up around jazz and the newly found hip hop era. He became passionate to making music. By the age of 15, he was signed to his first Independent contract and has kept it pushing ever since. He is no stranger to the elements of crime or a troubled home, but chooses not to focus on those elements of his past. In today's musical landscape, the "street" life is becoming common and cliché.
Being a structured black man, he learned to deal with tough conditions. Ever since birth his mother and father sung him songs to ease the pain of the rough world around him. The struggling conditions and lack of finance forced him to sell drugs just to feed and clothe himself and his younger brothers. This prepared him at an early age to survive in this tough world. Although times were hard, he took his life experiences and wrote about it. In the beginning he performed in talent shows and in the local parks making his skills better. Today, he is performing in arenas with Ludacris and Lil Wayne, with fans from California to Miami. He is driven and has a better understanding of what the music business is about through experience.
Now, he just wants his chance for the world to hear him and to be a part of the HurraSeason movement. He would also like for the talent that was given to him by the creator to give refuge and a voice to those who need it. Welcome to HurraSeason!!
