Bio

Actress, singer, producer, Giulia Nahmany was born in Israel and moved to Romania at the age of ten where she studied at the American International School of Bucharest. Giulia’s passion for music and the performing arts began at a very early age, participating in school plays and drama classes and become an active part of her life when she began working as a VJ for the Romanian music channel MCM, later becoming MTV, at the age of 17.

In 2004 Giulia recorded an Israeli album releasing the song and video “MYSTERY CALLED LOVE”. The song was played on the radio ( 99 fm and Radius FM) and was constantly aired on the Israeli Music channel ( channel 24). Her second single “Hayat Halayla” (“Creature of the Night”) was also very appreciated. In 2005, Giulia released the Israeli/Portuguese version of the song “Beijou-La-La” in collaboration with MORANDI, a very famous Romanian music band.  The song was an instant hit!

In September 2005, Giulia represented Israel at the International Golden Stag Festival (CERBUL DE AUR) in Brasov and won the popularity prize.
In 2007, the song “MAKE IT” was chosen to be among the 24 semifinalists for the Romanian Eurovision song contest.

On January 2009, Giulia recorded and shot the video for the song “FEEL THE MUSIC”, receiving critical acclaim and commercial success. Her work has earned her numerous awards and accolades.

On November 2009, Giulia released the English version for the famous hit song “TAMAALY MAAK”, originally sung by famous Egyptian singer AMR DIAB. On July 2011, Giulia recorded the song “EVERYBODY”, composed by Adrian Sina, a a famous romanian songwriter and shot the video for this song. The track was released under the name “GIULIANNA” and was also licensed in Poland.

In 2013, executive produced and played the leading role in the romantic comedy LOVE BY DESIGN, alongside Jane Seymour and directed by Michael Damian.  The movie will be released worldwide in the fall of 2014.
