Born in Morehead City, North Carolina, Mardell Walter Miller, Jr A.K.A Phunc Milla displays his unique style and versatility that makes him stand out amongst others. Phunc was introduced to the O’Jays, The Parliament, Earth Wind & Fire and The Gap Band at an early age. When his cousin moved from New York City, Phunc was then introduced to Hip Hop artist such as Rakim, Boogie Down Productions and EPMD just to name a few. Ever since then, Phunc was hooked form that point on. Being open minded, Phunc listened to a wide range of music that consisted of Jazz, Blues, Rock, and Pop embracing the creativity that other artist put in their music. One day Phunc was writing a song in his room around the age of 14, when his Uncle Butch asked, “Who are you writing for?” Phunc looked at his Uncle with a puzzled face. Phunc’s Uncle said to write from your heart, but write for the people so they can relate to what you’re writing. From that point on Phunc stayed in touch with what was going on with music as it came out, but Phunc also made sure that he kept the Funk in everything that he created bringing out the roots and vibes of what his mom and dad listen to around the house when he was growing up. Phunc did not follow the trends that may have been going on at the time because he dared to be different. Phunc always loved to have a good times, so he made sure that people could have a good time to his music and know exactly where Phunc was coming from whether if it was relationships issues, struggles, or when you and your friends are out on the town. Phunc’s passion for his music comes out in his new album “Follow Tha Phunc”.
Phunc Milla’s album “Follow Tha Phunc” will be releasing in May 2017 under HidnJulz Publishing. Phunc Milla collaborated with some awesome producers J Stubbs Music and J Bird Productionz along with artist H2O, JBaby252 and KCutt. Phunc Milla’s versatility will let you know that he does not follow the trends off others and sets out to be a trend setter. “One Last Time” illustrates that he loves to make the crowed move and those listening to his lyrics knows what it feels like to want “One Last Time”
