Chocolate Steele is an independent R&B Singer/Songwriter who was born and raised in Brooklyn. She has performed at The Cutting Room NYC, played shows at WNTI Stage Festival, Silvana, Shrine Music World Venue, and “Da Russ and Stew” Show to name a few.
Chocolate Steele’s voice is smooth and sensual while her music has a classic, and current R&B sound that you will enjoy. She loves reaching out to people with her music, and touching people with her songs.
Currently, Chocolate is working with Dean Jackson CEO of Jackson Promotions, as her liaison for radio and record pool promotions.
Chocolate Steele’s latest EP “Get it Straight” with her featured song called “We Don’t Rock” was produced by Keith Kemper and Peter McKlean.
On 9/1/17, Chocolate released her EP called “Real Deal” with her featured song called “When You’re Next to Me” produced by A-Train Productions.
In 2018, Chocolate Steele has shown that she is indeed the “Real Deal.” “When You’re Next to Me” Klubjumpers Remix hit No. 1 in four categories on the StarFleet Music Pool: Top 50 Indie/Urban/Hip-Hop/Latin; Top 50 Urban/Hip-hop; Top 60 Dance; and Top 60 Crossover.” A-Train Productions version hit No 5. in four categories on the StarFleet Music Pool” Top 50 Indie/Urban/Hip -Hop/Latin; Top 50 Urban/Hip-hop;Top 60 Dance; and Top 60 Crossover.
The song has also garnered radio play across the country, from Connecticut to Chicago to San Francisco.
In 2018, Chocolate worked with A-Train Productions, Willie Dee Productions and Dean Jackson Promotions. They have been a great resource.
Chocolate started singing when she was 4 years old, following the footsteps of her mother and her aunts; as they have been singing all of their lives. She has been in the music business since 2011, and says that it is has definitely been an upward struggle. It takes talent, a lot of hard work , and networking to achieve success. Chocolate is more than willing to put in the work that it takes to get to the top.
Chocolate is also an entrepreneur. She has partly completed her Cosmetology Licensure and, she has her water line called Chocolate Steele Water. It is delicious purified water. Chocolate Steele is not only passionate about her music and businesses. She is also a NYC Public High School Teacher. She loves teaching students about academics, and incorporating real life experiences to make it relevant to their lives. Chocolate has a Bachelors degree in Community Health, a Masters degree in Education as well as a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling.
